Let’s talk turkey!

Let’s talk turkey!

Not all turkeys are the same.  Here at the Echo Lake Inn, we use only Vermont naturally grown fresh Stonewood Farm turkeys. Here are some reasons why (taken from their website):

Our Turkey Friendly Barns are un-crowded and open-sided providing lots of fresh air & natural sunlight.

All-Natural Turkeys. No hormones, antibiotics, or animal by-products are added to their feed.

Humane Care “ Just plenty of Vermont air, cold nights, good feed and tender loving care on our family farm” — Paul Stone (Grandpa Stone)

The finest All Natural Fresh Turkey
Our Premium quality turkey has superior flavor and juiciness.
The slow growth of the turkeys ensure a delicious and naturally self-basting turkey.

All Natural
We do not add any preservatives or artificial ingredients.

Humanly Harvested
A USDA processing plant is located at our farm and operated by our family.
All turkeys are individually hand graded to ensure the highest quality.

So, if you are joining us for Thanksgiving or Christmas day, try our turkey dinner and see why our turkey tastes better. But, we don’t stop there. What about the other traditional turkey sides? We also use fresh Vermont cranberries to make our cranberry-orange compote, Vermont Macintosh apples in our apple and country sausage dressing, and local butternut squash for our vegetable side.  More reasons why we think local is better and we believe you will think so too.

All the best ~
