Family Reunion
We hosted a bridal shower earlier this month and although the luncheon was about celebrating the bride a surprising bonus was that it also gave the bridesmaids – particularly those who lived out of town – the opportunity to visit with each other before the “big day”. The hostess did not have to spend the day cooking, cleaning or prepping in any way (although she did bring some garden flowers for us to place at the tables). She was able to relax and enjoy her time with friends. Wedding planning can be emotional and surrounding yourself with love and laughter is therapeutic.
